megan@nationalwocc.org

As a Silicon Valley native, Megan grew up in an environment where the racial minority was the majority and cultural differences were appreciated and shared – not appropriated or shamed. Her community has helped to shape her character, allowing her to fearlessly pursue her BA in Political Science and BA in Asian American and Asian Diaspora Studies at UC Berkeley, followed by a JD with certificates in Media and Entertainment Law and Technology and Entrepreneurship Law at USC Gould School of Law. She strongly believes in giving back to the community as a way of expressing gratitude and therefore aspires to ensure that all womxn of color are seen, heard, and supported as they aspire to and accomplish greater achievements.

Megan hopes to contribute to WOCC’s mission by serving as a mentor who can truly empathize or sympathize with the challenges of being a womxn of color and law student. Despite the obstacles and frustration over the years, she is thankful for the challenging experience not only because it has made her stronger, but also because her experiences and takeaways may help another young womxn of color feel supported and motivated to keep breaking down barriers to their success.

Megan works in the public sector as a Legal Research Attorney for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County.
